PRLog (Press Release)

Ebay's World of Porn just got easier for everyone to reach! Just
one click from the Home Page of eBay selecting the Everything Else Category
brings anyone, even Children, shocking as it maybe, face to face with the Adult
Only Category and it's Sub Categories which include: Erotic Art & Nudes,
Sex Accessories and Sex Toys. This most recent change to include Sub
Categories with the word "Sex" was made in May 2009 and was
temporarily removed from the site after it's first exposure.
Ebay's Porn site under the guidance of Meg Whitman, created the
"Mature Audience" Category from the prior "Adult"
Category which was then buried under the Other then Other categories without
listing it's Sub-Categories. The title was later changed to "Mature
Audience" per former Vice President Scott Newman, "So there was a lot
of discussion about how to couch it. We changed the name of it from adult
site to mature audience site (Kepas vs. eBay; see Chapter 14 - Deposition of
Scott Newman.)"
Meg Whitman's affidavit (in Kepas vs. eBay) includes the following.
"6. I also understand that Kepas alleges that a current eBay employee,
Susan Dutton, reported to me while she and other employees were developing
mature audience policies for eBay. Although certain proposals concerning
eBay's mature audience policies were presented to me. I have no
recollection of speaking to Ms. Dutton concerning such policies (Kepas vs.
eBay; Chapter 3 - Meg Whitman Revealed.)"
Apparently with the recent elevation of the Porn material within the
Ebay site it appears that Ebay has made their choice to promote Pornography and
Sexual Material. It is possible that perhaps now Ebay.com is the largest
Porn Site in the world!!
In January 2009 eBay created the "Adult Only" category and
sporadically in May 2009 released it's sexually explicit Sub Categories. Though
the listing content is not available without passing through a consent page and
providing credit card information the concern is now that children will be
further enticed to attempt to enter this site with other individuals
information.
Meg Whitman is seeking the Republican Nomination for Governor of
California 2010.
